What do you guys actually do?

Sustainnovation helps organisations to be their best by using their ‘renewable energy’ – their people – to creatively and innovatively focus on big picture and longer-term goals. We are passionate about seeing people utilise their creativity to achieve better outcomes.

We help with funding (we’ll help you apply for grants), with stakeholder engagement, planning and strategy and implementation so that your organisation can reach its’ potential – connecting with your employees, community, customers, suppliers and environment along the way.

We tailor solutions to individual needs – no two organisations will have the same challenges and situations – your solution is for you.

What is sustainability?

Sustainability means different things to different people. To an accountant it might mean being financially able to continue your operations, to an environmental activist it might mean minimising your impact on the environment.

To Sustainnovation and our clients, sustainability means thinking about the “bigger picture and the longer term” – making decisions based on collective good and not just today’s stock price increase, or few dollars of cost savings. It means utilising your people and tapping into their creativity to achieve the best outcomes.

What does ‘sustainability’ mean to my organisation?

It will depend on your situation. If you’re staff turnover is out of control, it might mean establishing a base-line of staff satisfaction and engagement, and preparing strategies with you and your staff on what it will take for you to become an employer of choice.

If your customers buy from you once and never return, it might mean establishing relationships and partnerships and servicing those customers as a valued part of your business.

If you worry about your organisation’s impact on the environment, it might mean fresh thinking on processes to reduce energy and water consumption and decrease waste.

If you’ve made some changes and need them communicated, it might mean engaging with the community and educating staff.

If you want to be a part of your community and really build brand loyalty, it might mean engaging local partners and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships to increase your corporate social responsibility.
