SALA Innovations recently commissioned the scientists from the Mobile Architecture & Built Environment Laboratory (MABEL) at Deakin University in Victoria to undertake ground breaking testing of key elements of each SALA home with exceptional results. Queensland Government

The Queensland Government has released its plan for the future, Toward Q2 with five key elements – Strong, Green, Smart, Healthy and Fair. They are progressing with this by attracting investment to Clean Technology companies and implementing sustainable procurement practices as part of the State Procurement Policy. Medical Systems Design

MSD is a Brisbane-based software design company saving money and lives in the health industry by automating inventory management in hospitals. MSD’s software SurgiDat lowers operating costs by using a 2D data matrix barcode on a tiny 2.2mm square of porcelain laser bonded to each instrument. Bonding costs just $AUD0.80 per instrument, compared with $AUD5.00 to laser etch instruments as required by the old software – a substantial saving as some hospitals have in excess of 600,000 instruments. The SurgiDat UID unique global identification system can then record the sterilisation process, and every time and on which patient an instrument is used. What a brilliant innovation!
